Braga is a profound religious city and this journey will get you in touch with the well-known Triangle of Faith: The Cathedral, The Sanctuaries of Sameiro and Bom Jesus.

Close to 12:30 is time for a delicious Traditional Portuguese Lunch with “Vinho Verde” (green wine) that is the magnificent fizzy wine of the Region.

Then we will drive you to Guimarães which is the birthplace of Portugal Nation. We start by visiting the Guimarãe’s Castle located oven a hill. From one of its seven towers located over you will observe the wonderful city view.

On our way to Guimarães historical center (UNESCO Site), I will describe some of the most important buildings, such as The Palace of the Dukes of Braganza.

Braga

Braga is an extremely religious city and this trip will put you in contact with the well-known Triangle of Faith: the Cathedral, the Sanctuaries of Sameiro and Bom Jesus. Then, the magnificence of Braga Cathedral, the monument that combines the Romanesque, Manueline and Baroque styles.

Guimarães

After lunch (included), we will take you to Guimarães, which is the birthplace of the first king of Portugal. This is a true example of the evolution of a medieval city through history and through time. Then we will visit Guimarães Castle located on a hilltop. From one of its seven towers located above you will notice the wonderful view of the city.

Palace of the Dukes of Bragança

On the way to the historical center of the city of Guimarães, we will go to the Palace of the Dukes of Bragança to admire all the works (furniture, squares, swords, rooms, etc ...) from the 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th centuries.Do not miss this opportunity to travel back in time while you dream!
