A sense of history that’s still in the making. A setting of vine-covered rolling hills and the majestic River Douro. Come and enjoy an Experience in the world’s oldest demarcated wine region. During this trip you will be amazed with glorious gardens, woodlands and sweeping panoramas composed by terraced vineyards. After doing the pickup at your stay in a luxury car we will start our journey heading the magical Douro Valley. As soon as we get there it’s time for a break to breathe & feel the outstanding atmosphere of the Valley in a hidden viewpoint. Then we will drive nearby until a beautiful high end Winery located in the Douro’s Heart. It’s here where you will learn even more about Douro’s Terroir, Wine-Making process, Wine Aging and the difference between regular Wines and the very famous native Port Wines. The visit is provided by a proper local Wine Expert who will give you a full Wine Tasting commenting its details, flavors, aromas and its complexity. Around midday, we will drive to a contemporary and intimate Restaurant managed by a Michelin Starred Chef. You will enjoy a fantastic gourmet meal with Portuguese cuisine based in the most relaxed way while appreciating the river view. It will be served several orders with a proper Wine Pairing to offer you a full sense of harmonization. This restaurant is seasonal market-inspired fare incorporates the best regional cuisine and local ingredients. The private boat trip happens in the afternoon during 1 hour when the sun is high. You will sail up the Douro River between wineries surrounded by amazing vineyards, eating some delicious appetizers paired with wine or cocktail. I loved the small group setting and personalization this tour offers. Ricardo took us to 3 small wineries and provided a delicious local meal. We had a private technical tour and delicious tastings. It was a wonderful day despite the weather and Ricardo does the driving in a comfortable Mercedes van. It is the way to see Douro Valley wineries.

Our tour with Bruno was incredible, and a major highlight of our time in Porto. Bruno was thoughtful and funny – and you can tell he loves what he does. The tour itself was so lovely – from the comfort of the van, to the knowledge of the wine-makers, to the delicious wine, perfect lunch, and the beautiful views. Even our fellow tourists we’re great! A few years ago my husband and I decided we wanted to collect experiences rather than commodities. This tour fit the bill! Not only was the tour entertaining, it was thoughtfully designed and intellectually stimulating. I don’t know a lot about wines but I came away with a deep appreciation of the history of the valley as well as the wine making itself, from the viticulture to the table, the story fascinates. If you are lucky enough to get a reservation for this tour, do it. It is every thing they promise and more. You won’t be disappointed!

José offers so much with this experience. Not only is he a fantastic designated driver, he is also a very knowledgable and accommodating host and has a great sense of humor. I’ve been on many wine tours in the past and what is unique about José’s is that his tour focuses on more than just production. He covers the cultural and historical significance of the Douro Valley in a way that is engaging even when you are intoxicated.

Wow, this is the way you should experience the Douro. We are from Porto, so we had visited the Douro Valley a couple times on our own, but nothing like this. Everything from the vineyards they picked to the route they took around the valley, everything seemed to be planned with great care and attention to detail. Bruno and José definitely know their stuff and absolutely took care of us. What a great day, we highly recommend this tour!

We absolutely LOVED this experience! José was a wonderful guide, and very knowledgeable of the history of the region, the country, and wine as a whole. The two wineries we visited were great and very educational, and the tastings were lovely. The boat ride was very scenic with some delicious snacks, and we learned a lot more about the history of the region and about port wine. Our lunch in the afternoon was delicious – all home made by the family owners of the winery, and paired with 3 or 4 additional tastings. We thoroughly enjoyed this experience and 100% recommend!!!

Couldn’t recommend this more. We were in Porto for a few days and this experience was a highlight. Ricardo was an excellent guide, very friendly and knowledgeable. All the stops along the way felt very genuine and not “touristy” at all. For the cost it’s an excellent value, we got to sample plenty of great wine, there were snacks on the boat, and a hearty lunch at the final stop. Would 100% recommend as a great way to tour the Douro Valley.
